The Mitsubishi Shogun, a Dakar Rally legend
Known as the Pajero around the world and the Shogun in the UK, it won the Dakar Rally twelve times, more than any other car.

The first Shogun is launched.
- 1985
The Pajero wins the Paris-Dakar Rally for the first time.
- 1991
The second generation adds the Super Select four-wheel-drive system.
- 1999
The third generation brings a monocoque body.
- 2007
The fourth-generation Shogun arrives, and the Pajero takes its twelfth Dakar win.
- 2021
Pajero production ends after almost forty years.
